Laura Yoko Maruyama Monteiro (born in Sao Paulo, Brazil) is a Japanese-Brazilian young online entrepreneur, fashionista, designer and founder from YOKO Design LAB.
The journey started in 2012 when she performed a collaboration for an alternative fashion house based in Los Angeles, a project of graphic illustrations, flat sketches and prints. The year 2013 she produced her own catwalk show of costume designs in the UK at Brighton Fashion Week and got a special press coverage by The Cult PR from OK! Magazine.
Laura Yoko was nominated in a famous contest Muuse Vs. Vogue Talents 2013 and was among the TOP50 best designers by public vote.
The 2014 Yoko Design LAB conquest was a merit recognition aka. Mighty Dropr Founder!DROPR is a British awarded winning multimedia art collective. As a featured partner, she began to selling at this platform limited edition of high res digital art, stickers and fashion images.
STUDIO YOU FASHION is her recent breakthrough project an online business and e-commerce start up of customisable product development templates, hang tag, logo, graphic tees and textile design. Creatively designed as a digital good targeted for trendy female retail and wholesale fashion and the textile industry from Brazil, United States and projections for Hong Kong.
